WELCOME TO THE OLSOKS DAYS AT STIKLESTAD 2026!
The national anniversary in 2030 is getting closer. In Stiklestad, this is reflected both in the large development project "Stiklestad for a new millennium" and in the Oslo Days 2026.
The theme for this year's festival is SOURCE. An important reason for this is the National Jubilee 2030, which in 2026 has KINSHIP AND SOCIETY as the thematic superstructure. In addition, SOURCE is inspired by a time when we are inundated with both information and disinformation, and where source criticism and knowledge dissemination are therefore more important than ever.
We are very proud that Yama Wolasmal is this year's Stiklestad profile and that Brit Fuglevaag is this year's Olsok artist. Together they form the core of a rich podium program that we hope will engage many. We are also very much looking forward to the audience taking the brand new seats in the Stiklestad amphitheater during "The Game of Saint Olav", the heart of the Olsok days.
This year's festival is naturally colored by a world that is perceived as increasingly unsafe. A vibrant democracy needs knowledge-based meeting places that build both awareness and bridges. We at Museene Arven and Stiklestad National Cultural Center strongly believe that museums can fill such a role. Our goal is therefore that Olsokdagene 2026 will be a colorful picture of the power Stiklestad carries within itself and the uniqueness that arises in the meeting between thousand-year-old lines, the time we live in and the myriad of stories and actors who meet and create something together. A festival that builds community and hope for the future.
A warm welcome to meaningful experiences and new memories at Stiklestad!
